About Roatan Day Trip

Roatan Day Trip is a family business, born with the purpose of providing activities like Snorkeling, Beach pass, Monkey and sloth encounters, Sightseeing tours, group and family excursions, private island tours, water and land activities and much more fun experience in Roatan island, also tourist transportation from/to any area in the island. Our prices and customer service distinguish us, our tour guides have extensive experience in the local tourism industry.

In the year of 1960, classes began in the First Bight community, where Mr. Elías Moradel (father of Rolando and brothers) donated the property where the Froylan Turcios educational center is currently located. It was in this way that one of his first children began his studies 52 years ago. All of their children finished their studies among them (13), then their grandchildren (14) completed their studies and (5) are still crossing their studies at the school that started in a sugar cane hut.

In the beginning it was small school, now it's a basic center with the name of Froylán Turcios. Help us with a small donation, our goal is to continue contributing to education, improvements in the church and support for the local sport.

About Roland Moradel

Owner and Founder of Roatan Day Trip

Roland Moradel is a native islander born and raised in Roatan island. Since he was a child he was a very happy and humble boy, he always liked playing soccer and going hunting with his older brothers in the area near the First Bight village.

With extensive experience of the best tourist places and knowledgeable of artisanal fishing, the brand Roatan Day Trip was born with the aim of transmitting that experience through him and his family in each tourist adventure on the island of Roatan.

The First Bight village is located in the middle of Roatan

The community of First is exactly in the middle of the island, on one of the highest hills on the island of Roatan, where the municipalities of Roatan and Santos Guardiola converge, in other words we unite and we are an open border between both municipalities.

This community is made up of very humble and hard-working people, with a lot of desires for improvement and to show the world the local tourism.

About "El Mirador"

Tell your driver or guide take you to "El Mirador" in First Bight Community

This is a tourist attraction named "El Mirador" in spanish, in english it will be like "The Looker" or "The View", it's a spectacular place where you will have the opportunity to see the northern band and the southern area of the island of Roatan, in one of the highest points of the island called the First Bight community.

You will also have the opportunity to enjoy local drinks, coconuts, crafts made by locals, massages and island food. It is a place where you will feel free and meet the locals, we want you to come and be part of our family.
